Pure Gin festival

A project management case study



The inaugural Pure Gin festival was held at the Asara Wine Estate & Hotel on 16 December 2017. The event was a great success with 9 gin makers featured and over 500 attendees including media and VIP guests.


  • Plan the festival details
  • Liaise with craft gin makers to secure their stands at the festival
  • Sell tickets for the event through marketing
  • Design all collateral and ensure the Asara brand is well represented
  • Manage the arrival of guests at the event
  • Get coverage about the event through media & VIPs


  • Contacted and liaised with all suppliers/ gin brands
  • Created and managed the Quicket account for ticket sales
  • Monitored and reported on ticket sales daily
  • Contacted and arranged with media to attend the festival and feature the event
  • Wrote and designed the fact sheet that was given to media and bloggers
  • Created all content about the event for social media pages
  • Liaised with the MC: Cocktail Kate from the UK
  • Designed and arranged printing of event banners for outside the farm as well as banners for each supplier stand
  • Arranged radio coverage on HeartFM
  • Created and sent out email correspondence
  • Attended the event and sold tickets at the entrance
  • Created a post event report with key learnings for the future
